Ad policy

What we allow, what we review, and what we block

Ads sit inside a live chat. That is a higher bar than a sidebar banner. This page is the rule sheet for advertisers and for bot owners.

What ads does Prism allow?

We allow labelled partner offers that match the conversation and tell the truth about the product. Travel, wellness, productivity, and other ordinary goods and services are in bounds when the click URL works and the tone is calm.

The ad must name who is paying. The landing page must match the line in the chat. We reject fake urgency, bait-and-switch, and copy that would feel wrong next to a real answer. See the advertisers page for how a campaign is submitted.

Which ads are reviewed case by case?

Licensed gambling and sports betting are not banned outright. They go through a human review. Unlicensed gambling stays in the blocked list below.

Online casinos, poker, sports books, lotteries, and cash fantasy sports need a valid license for every place they want to show. In the United States, the chatbot and the publisher must operate in States where that online gambling is legal, and age gates must match State and Federal law. In other countries, local licenses and age rules apply. Send proof of license with the creative to [email protected].

What must a creative do before it can serve?

It must represent the product honestly, open a real page that matches the promise, name the advertiser, and stay respectful in a chat. ALL CAPS, scare tactics, and sidebar-style junk get rejected even if a web banner network would take them.

Honest line

No fake countdown, no bait, no claim the landing page cannot back up.

Safe click

HTTPS URL. Same offer as the card. No hop to a different product.

Clear speaker

The user should know who paid for the suggestion. Label it sponsored.

How fast is review, and what happens if you break the rules?

Every new campaign and every edit is reviewed by a person before it serves. Most reviews finish the same day. Allow 1 business day when volume is high. A rejection comes with a written reason. Fix the field and send it again.

  1. 1

    Warning

A first small miss gets guidance, not a ban.

  2. 2

    Takedown

A violating ad stops serving. You get the specific rule.

  3. 3

    Suspension

Repeat or severe breaks pause every campaign on the account.

  4. 4

    Ban

Repeat prohibited content, or ignoring warnings, ends access.

How do I report a bad ad?

Email [email protected]. Publishers should include the ad id from the SDK response. A person reads every report.

Bot owners and people using those bots can both write in. We would rather turn down a booking than leave a bad card in a travel or wellness chat. Related: docs and publishers.
